The Tuesday Night Worlds (other wise known as Mid-Week MTB Race Series) was another great race. I took one of the hardest falls I've ever taken (blood shown below...) but I got back up and finished in first place again! I've been icing my ankle, knee, hip & shoulder ever since. But that's the price you pay to place at worlds! It was one of those falls that happens in slow motion. As I flew over my bars, I saw the ground coming and thought "I'm flying, I must be about to crash". My bike was facing the wrong direction when I finished skidding, so I'm guessing it was flip over the bars type situation. While I was finishing the last lap I could already feel my clavicle was injured, the adrenaline wasn't hiding that pain. I'm learning how to race through all types of situations lately, cramping, injuries, heat. It's all great preparation for XC Nationals, the last Pro XCT and PCP2P!
