The last day that we were in Mammoth Lakes I rode to the top of the ski resort, to Mammoth Mountain. 11,053'. It was a beautiful blue bird day and I really enjoyed the climb. However, the last hour of climbing the temperature started to drop and the wind progressively got stronger. I could see the top and there was no way I was turning around without standing on the summit. I could see my breath and I discovered that my vest had blown out of my back pocket without me knowing. It was half way to Yosemite by that point! I made it to the top and wedged my bike into the sign. I took just enough time to take this video to show the views 360 degrees. My grand plan was to edit out the wind noise and add captions, but I'm so behind on posting, that you get the raw footage. I point out Mono Lake, the Minarets and Devil's Postpile, Yosemite then the rest of Mammoth Lakes. Enjoy this poorly made movie of amazingly beautiful scenery.
