Draper, UT on 12/30/11

Unbelievable conditions for December. I just can't get over how amazing the trails are! Last Christmas vacation in SLC I was spending hours on the trainer, staring at the garage or watching random movies on netflix.
This year the ICUP race over Memorial Day at Draper was a such sloppy mess that the mud combined with the mal-machined chainrings on my crank led me to walk/glide the last 8 miles of the race.
So, a few of us got together to take advantage of the great conditions. Erika showed Alison, KC & I some new territory in Draper. We made it out to "point of the mountain" that is so popular for hang-gliders and other air bound sports. We also made it to bridge I'd never been to. It has a laminated sign hanging from the hand rail with a picture of a bobcat on said bridge and the caption "this cat could eat your dog"!  21.8 miles and only a few patches of mud. Excellent!
