Camp
Lynda 2012 was amazing! This is her 5th year doing it, it was my second year attending. It's super casual only the rides are determined & it is self-supported. You have to know where you are going and carry all of your own stuff. There were about 40 riders Friday & 70 on Saturday. Everyone is super nice and supportive and there is zero attitude there. Ride at your own pace and smile. I feel so lucky to know so many amazing & healthy people!
Friday was a
41 mile loop. Up Church Rocks/Proscpector, behind a mountain range, then descend down IceHouse. Since Lynda asked everyone to upload files to Strava I have a few segments that I couldn't be prouder of. In fact, I should just retire, because most likely I won't ever outride Keegan, Alex, Duff or Bart again. Special, I know.
Unnamed Road Climb 1,
Unnamed Road Climb 2. I came close on the
Oak Grove climb. The Ice house descent was the most scenic descent I've ever done. The pictures don't do it justice. You ride down a field of yellow grass with black volcanic rocks and you are looking at Zion NP and other red mountains in the distance. As Dave Beyers put it "it's the best trail you've never heard of in St. George. Go ride it and you won't be disappointed.
