Whole30

The

That's right! I'm doing the Whole30 right now. I'm on day 3 and already feel SO good! I was introduced to Whole9life last summer after my crash. I was close to immobile and gaining weight quickly. My coach Lynda, challenged me to do the Whole30. Within one week I had dropped around 6 pounds but more importantly the healing of my ribs and lung sped up very quickly. I no longer had inflammation in my body so it could just focus on healing.  During the process I connected with Dallas and Melissa, the authors of "It Starts with Food" and the creators of the Whole30. They joined me for 2 clinics last summer (teaching participants about nutrition) and have become great friends of mine since then. With the knowledge they gave me I've changed the way I eat year round now. Recently I'd let some non-Whole30 foods sneak into my diet.  Long story short, it's time to clean up and do a Whole30! The other reason a Whole30 is appropriate right now is I'm not trying to race and gain fitness. I'm in my off season and it's time to regenerate and heal my body.
I'm writing about this on my blog for two reasons.
1) To keep me accountable, I want to make all 30 days count and post "I did it" in 27 days
2) I've gotten multiple emails from readers that have discovered the Whole30 through my blog and it's changed their lives. The most poignant one just came yesterday. The person told me they've now done two Whole30's. "I feel stronger, faster, and am all around healthier in many ways. I feel like I really understand food so much better by reading the book and following their plan. It’s a simple format and it works so well. I now have lost 22 pounds and three belt notches... I really have to thank you for promoting this eating plan. It’s a life changer in so many ways!"
