Muddy trails shut down some plans to ride with friends so instead I set Snowbird in my sights. I left home intending to make it to "The Bird" and almost turned around when I was riding through my second rain storm on the way up LCC. I persevered, knowing the descent would be a bit tricky. I pushed past Snowbird and made it to Albion Basin, the Alta Ski Resort. The views all the way up that canyon are so rewarding and the top is so peaceful. Being a weekday and the off season there was very little traffic on the road, perfect! I froze on the way down but made it back home safe with 5,100 feet of climbing in 45 miles. I'd call that successful!
